Crazy! that's about all I can muster, that and Wow.
Yesterday I left with my host mom, Phet, Ploy, P nu and Dana to go to Thrang to see the Gin Jai festival. It's a special festival for Chinese Thai people where they eat Vegan for 10 days and celebrate.
Okay so I'll jump right to the Crazy stuff. Today we went to see the parade where I was told people would but knifes through their cheeks. Well it wasn't just that it was bicycles, chairs, trees, spears, knives. And these people feel that they are possessed by the spirit of the gods and so they cannot feel the pain. It was horrify. Afterwards they don't even go to the hospital to get the huge holes in their cheeks fixed. the best way I can describe it is to just show you the photos. i think i may be able to write more later but for now here you go.
