I should probably tell a little about what I'll be doing. I'm going to live in Surat Thani Thailand. I'll be living with the Thongsakul family which includes Mrs. Siriwan (my host mother) Mr. Winyoo (my host father), a 12 year old host sister named Pimploy, but I believe they just call her Ploy, a 7 year old host brother named Petch who they call Pet, a 27 year old female host cousin named Nu and her brother named Nai who is 23. My host grandmother also lives in the house, but unfortunately she has become sick and so has a nurse's aid. My host mother's cousin also comes to the house to help to take care of the grandmother and Pet. I'm so excited that I will be the older sister since I'm the youngest one at home. And it will be nice to have people older than me in the house that I can talk to. I've started talking to my host mother via email and I've learned a lot about my family and about Surat Thani. I also learned a little bit about the school I'll be attending. I know that it's a coeducational government school, but I don't know how many grades are in the school. I leave on July 5th to fly to LA there I believe I have a short orientation. From LA I fly to Tokyo and then to Bangkok. In Bangkok I have an orientation where I believe I will get to met all the other students going to Thailand for the year program. After that I'll travel from Bangkok to Surat Thani with my teacher and then I get to met my host family! I can't wait and I can't believe that it really is just around the corner.

Hmm ok well I though I would give this a try. Yesterday was my last day of High School in the US which is a weird thought. It didn't feel like it was even the last day of school let alone my last day at Freehold Boro as a student. Everything is a weird thought lately. It's hard to believe that in just a few weeks I'll be writing and living in Thailand. Well today I said goodbye to Kathryn since she'll be going to camp/ training on thursday and it was nice to see her again. It sucks that so many people are leaving before I do and it makes it weird to say goodbye since it feels like "oh have fun I'll see you when you get back" but I won't since I'll be gone already. Well that's all I'm going to post today.
